Boo! Don’t share that!!!

Bitmoji Halloween

I have a confession, I have always hated Halloween. Don't get me wrong, I like the candy part but it was the dressing up I always found odd. I think it harkens back to my parents telling me that I am perfect just the way I am and I actually believed them. So, why pretend to be someone else? The obvious lesson here is to be careful what you say to your children as they might actually believe some of the crap you tell them!

So now that I'm a parent of 2; I, a) never tell my kids they are perfect and b) I always encourage them to dress up, be silly, enjoy Halloween and give all your Reese’s peanut butter cups to your Mother.

I'm not so sure it worked. This picture sums up my children's personalities so perfectly it's frightening. Although the picture is a few years old, the only thing different is that Ava doesn't like dresses and Jack now likes real cars. He is still more reserved and she is still “Woo hoo! Look at me!”

Isn't parenting so fascinating?? Watching these little people grow up is nothing short of spectacular and a little spooky as we can see so much of ourselves in them. Sometimes I feel the need to apologize and other times I can't help but laugh. Either way, my children are kind of perfect (don't tell them I said so) and way more delicious than a pumpkin full of Reese's peanut butter cups!

Enjoy your kids this Halloween but make sure they don't share costumes, masks, tiara's or hats. And if they do, be sure they are protected before they share with Rosemary Repel Conditioning Spray. Lice love Halloween - a lot! Anything put on a child's head that is then shared is the quickest way to start a lice outbreak. Once Halloween is over, a week or so after, do a quick head check as a precaution. Visit our website for instructional videos on head checks, removal/prevention tips and more.
