Going Back to School with Fairy Tales’s Hand Sanitizer Spray

Going Back to School with Fairy Tales’s Hand Sanitizer Spray

A new school year comes with a lot of uncertainty, and this year it’s no different, but there’s a lot more unknown during this back to school season. Being prepared and keeping your kids’ health and safety in mind is the best way to tackle that fear and uncertainty.

Using Hand Sanitizer Sprays in School
The easiest and most convenient way to keep your kids’ hands clean is to make sure they have a hand sanitizer spray with them. These come in super handy during lunch time and in between classes. Be sure to use an alcohol based hand sanitizer that has at least 60% alcohol, according to CDC’s recommendations. Because (effective) hand sanitizers contain alcohol, littles one’s hands can easily dry out. Follow sanitizer with a moisturizing hand cream or lotion or try to limit the usage of hand sanitizer to only when completely necessary.

You might have heard FDA warnings about the risk of methanol contamination in ethanol, which is very toxic to kids if absorbed through the skin. This is very scary for many moms and dads because it’s difficult to know if the active ingredient is contaminated with methanol until you already feel the symptoms. We, at Fairy Tales Hair Care, want to give every parent some peace of mind through this whole madness, so rest assured, our manufacturer does not handle methanol. There will be no contamination risk in Fairy Tales’s hand sanitizer spray, so you don’t have to worry. Parents and teachers already have so much to stress about, especially with what’s been going on in 2020, that we want to give you some peace of mind. If you have any questions or concerns, our customer service will always be there to help you!

Washing your Hands in School
Kids can become infested with germs by touching their eyes, nose, or mouth with dirty hands. Washing hands is the best and most effective way to get rid of these germs. It may be difficult to get kids to pick up on washing their hands as frequently as they need to, but it is not impossible! Remind children when, and for how long, to wash their hands and lead them by example. Can’t forget to take care of yourself too! It is also important to teach kids the proper way to wash their hands –

1. Wet hands
2. Use soap and lather for 20 seconds – be sure to get in between fingers, under fingernails and on the backs of hands
3. Rinse and dry
Teaching kids proper hand hygiene now will keep them safe and healthy in the long run!
